Dr. Barbara is a highly skilled family medicine specialist with over 20 years of experience. She earned her degree in medicine from the University of Zagreb Medical School in Croatia in 2000 and is licensed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, and the Department of Health, Dubai.
Before moving to Dubai in, Dr. Barbara worked as a General Practitioner in a number of prestigious hospitals and medical centers in Croatia where she provided comprehensive medical services for individuals and family members.
Dr. Barbara provides a wide range of services in the field of family medicine and has a special interest in the treatment of chronic diseases and women’s health. Her approach is holistic, and patient-centered, and she practices evidence-based medicine. She has a strong focus on preventive health, including immunization and travel vaccinations and advice, cervical screening/mammography, as well as various general health check-ups.
Dr Barbara is one of the very few diving medical consultants in UAE and is highly competent in providing accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment plans for conditions caused by undersea environment, including conditions associated with decompression sickness and arterial gas embolism, prevention of diving disorders, treatment of diving accidents.
