Doctor's Bio

Dr. Basil is a highly trained Canadian board-certified surgeon specialized in Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgery with over 10 years of experience. He completed his medical training at the University of McMaster, Canada with multiple distinctions and awards. He completed Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Manitoba, Canada.

Dr. Basil subsequently trained with world-class leaders in Facial Plastic Surgery in California, USA (With Dr. Paul Nasif). Following his training, he started building a practice in Dubai and Toronto focused on Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Basil has a special interest in rhinosinusitis and endoscopic nasal surgery, rhinoplasty, and redo-rhinoplasty operations, along with advanced techniques of eyebrow lift, Endo lift, and other outpatient procedures.

Dr. Basil attended many conferences and courses around the world, in addition to organizing and presenting annual meetings on many topics, such as otolaryngology, head, and neck surgery, facial plastic surgery, and aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. Moreover, he assisted in multiple academic, scholarly, and medical researches and has different publications related to Radiofrequency, Laser resurfacing, Nasal Valve Surgery, Otolaryngology, and facial plastic surgery.

Through his years of experience, Dr. Basil was awarded for his amazing work and dedication to provide the best results to his patients, and he holds many licenses and certificates from national and international boards and committees.

Dr. Basil was awarded several awards from the University of Manitoba, as the overall Best in Show award, HSC Medical Staff Council Fellowship Award, and 1st Place Poster Award. In addition, he gained many awards from McMaster University, as the Heart and Stroke Award, and CIHR Professional Student Award.

On the academic level, he participated in many pieces of research regarding Radiofrequency Effects, Acute Skin Healing, Improvement in nasal obstruction, Respiratory Complications following Adeno-tonsillectomy, Characterization of Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Manitoba Children, and Codeine Safety in Postoperative Children.

Dr. Basil‘s work has also been published in several international specialized publications, covering important topics, such as Burnout among plastic surgery residents, Trimmed Lateral Crura of lower lateral cartilages, Outcome of Nasal Valve Obstruction After Functional and Aesthetic-Functional Rhinoplasty, Facial Plastic Surgery, Lip aesthetics and enhancement, Use of ultrasound to differentiate between thyroglossal duct cysts and dermoid cysts in children, Avoiding complications in the cosmetic facial practice, and pain management in post-craniotomy patients.
