Dr. Samar holds a Ph.D. in Pulmonology and focuses on treating different lungs conditions and diseases, such as pneumonia and respiratory failure. She is an expert in applying non-surgical treatment for pneumonia and respiratory failure in ICU in need of oxygen therapy and assisted ventilation (non-invasive BIPAP OR CPAP) or invasive (mechanical ventilation), in addition to vast experience in bronchoscopy.
To improve her skills and gain a wide experience, Dr. Samar participated in many training programs in different hospitals and medical centers, where she has been part of the department of respiratory diseases and lungs diseases.
As a quick learner, Dr. Samar was appointed to high positions in multiple hospitals, and she is now the medical director of the pulmonology department at Novomed clinic in Dubai Marina and Novomed
Surgical Hospital dealing with different cases of respiratory diseases, asthma, COPD, performing the full pulmonary function, a sleep study (polysomnography) and allergy skin test.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Samar was one of the frontline doctors responsible for all admitted COVID-19 patients, also trained and guided a team of practitioners and nurses.
